Tozama Kulati Siwisa is the Executive Director (West Wits MLI) and Head of Corporate Affairs at West Wits Mining. Well-known for her strategic leadership and exceptional expertise in stakeholder engagement, she has carved a niche in the mining industry. Her work involves navigating complex negotiations and building robust relationships with governmental agencies and local communities. Tozama brings a unique blend of strategic leadership and a deep commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive mining practices.
At West Wits, Tozama ensures that the company’s strategies align with long-term goals, manages stakeholder relationships, and leads crisis management efforts. Her leadership in securing critical licenses has streamlined operations, showcasing her effectiveness in navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Previously, at Lonmin Plc, she implemented Social and Labour Plans, emphasising local economic development and sustainable community growth.
Tozama received the Rising Star Award at the 2025 Australia-Africa Minerals & Energy Group (AAMEG) Awards, held during the Africa Down Under Conference in Perth. The awards recognise Africa’s most influential ESG leaders who are building a mining sector that uplifts communities, drives sustainability, and creates lasting impact.
Tozama is a globally recognised thought leader and speaker, particularly in Europe, the Middle East and Africa countries, on critical topics regarding ESG in mining, including the pivotal role of women in this complex industry.

Tozama holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from Tshwane University of Technology and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Project Management at the University of Southern Queensland.
